DevOps Specialist

Company: Tether

Tether builds reserve-backed tokens and is the issuer of USDT, powering payments and tokenization across blockchains. The company also develops energy, data, education and other products aimed at scaling secure, global digital finance.

Responsibilities:

• Design, architect and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and similar tools.
• Implement test-driven deployment systems with automated testing, validation and monitoring.
• Containerize applications with Docker and optimize image builds and registries.
• Oversee build, packaging and publishing for JavaScript, TypeScript and C++ (versioning, semantic tagging, NPM/internal registries).
• Develop cross-platform build pipelines (CMake or equivalent) and automate end-to-end release processes (tagging, signing, distribution).
• Define and manage Infrastructure as Code to provision reliable, scalable and secure environments.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience architecting and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or equivalent at scale.
• Strong proficiency in test-driven deployment methodologies and maintaining automated integration/end-to-end test suites.
• Expertise in containerization with Docker, including image creation, registry management and basic orchestration patterns.
• Experience managing JS/TS package lifecycles (versioning, semantic tagging, compilation and NPM/internal registry publication) and C++ build systems using CMake.
• Advanced Linux system administration and networking skills (shell scripting, package management, performance troubleshooting, firewalls, VPN).
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, AWS CDK or CloudFormation), mobile CI/CD automation for iOS/Android, and release management (automated versioning, signing, artifact distribution).

Nice to have:

• Experience with observability and monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Background in high-availability, security-sensitive environments, especially fintech, blockchain or distributed systems.
• Experience deploying and managing blockchain-based applications.
• Exposure to AI/ML pipelines and frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow).
