"Project Responsibilities
Middle
- Act as a bridge between business stakeholders, product teams, and IT delivery units
- Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements across digital banking products
- Design and describe end-to-end customer journeys (onboarding, accounts, cards, lending, etc.)
- Model system interactions and data flows between mobile applications, backend services, CRM, and core banking systems
- Collaborate closely with solution architects on system design, integrations, and technical feasibility
- Prepare detailed functional specifications and high-quality user stories
- Lead and facilitate requirement refinement sessions and ensure alignment across stakeholders
- Work closely with UI/UX designers to define and refine mobile customer journeys and user flows
- Support development and QA teams by clarifying requirements and ensuring shared understanding of scope
- Participate in integration activities, including external services (e.g., KYC, government APIs, scoring engines)
- Perform impact analysis for changes and propose optimized solutions
- Identify process gaps, root causes of issues, and recommend improvements
Candidate's Portrait
This role is best suited for a Technical Business Analyst with strong expertise in digital banking systems, integrations, and customer journey design, capable of working across both business and technical domains in a fast-paced environment.
Must-haves
Experience & Background
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
- Proven experience in retail banking, fintech, or digital banking projects
Business Analysis & Delivery
- Strong understanding of the full BA lifecycle (discovery, analysis, design, delivery)
- Proven ability to gather, structure, and document complex requirements
- Experience facilitating requirement workshops and refinement sessions
- Strong experience writing detailed user stories, including:
- main and alternative scenarios
- acceptance criteria
- definition of ready (DoR) and definition of done (DoD)
Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs
- Strong understanding of JSON structures and API contracts
- Experience using API tools such as Postman and Swagger
- Understanding of system integrations and distributed system architecture
- Basic SQL skills (writing queries, data validation, analysis)
- Ability to communicate effectively with developers and solution architects
Banking Domain Expertise
- Solid understanding of digital banking products:
- accounts
- cards (debit/credit)
- lending products
- Experience with:
- digital onboarding flows
- KYC/AML processes
- credit scoring and decisioning systems
- Understanding of how data and processes flow across mobile apps, backend services, CRM systems, and core banking platforms
Product & UX
- Experience working with mobile applications and customer journeys
- Ability to collaborate with UI/UX teams on user flow definition
- Understanding of usability and customer experience principles
Collaboration & Problem Solving
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to identify root causes of issues and propose effective solutions
- Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables
Tools & Methodologies
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
- Experience using modeling and diagramming tools (e.g., BPMN, Visio, Draw.io)
Nice-to-have
- Experience with trading or investment-related products
- Basic understanding of financial instruments such as equities, FX, and mutual funds
- Experience working with event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)"
