"The test engineer will be responsible for:

1.) Leads other testers in specific testing activities.

2.) Creates and maintains the automation for Mortgages E2E.

3.) Documents test results for traceability.

4.) Executes tests and keeps the status up to date.

5.) Documents defects to aid reporting.

6.) Configures test environments to execute tests.

7.) Escalates risks and blockers to the test manager.

8.) Ensure that their tests are picked up in Standard Reports and Closure reports.

9.) Implementing and executing the tests in the automation framework using Python and Behave

10.) Attending daily standups and other squad meetings

Must-haves

Experience & Qualifications

1) minimum 3+ years of experience in Python automation.

2.) Experience with the Banking/FinTech domain.

3.) Degree/Advanced degree and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

4.) Experience with various aspects of systems testing.

5.) Comprehensive knowledge of software testing process, methodology and good practices.

6.) Good understanding of testing methodologies and their application within an agile delivery framework.

Technical knowledge

1.) Experience with Python / Behave

2.) Experience with AWS services

3.) Experience with playwright

4.) Experience with automated test tools

Collaboration

1.) Ability to draw in and coordinate resources from across the business in order to address issues.

2.) Ability to develop strong working relationships with senior management, colleagues, and across the business.

3.) Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing both internally and externally.

4.) Works in partnership to achieve goals.

Leadership

5.) Experience managing small to mid-sized technical teams.

6.) Motivated to solve quality problems being pragmatic and results focused. You should also be able to set this as an example for your team.

7.) Ability to deliver effective communication on key decisions.

Nice-to-have

Test ISQTB certified
