Senior DevOps Engineer

Contract / Full-time / Company: Lisk

Lisk is building a new kind of financial platform for businesses that brings crypto infrastructure into a modern, simple experience for teams. They are replacing fragmented corporate financial tooling with a single workspace across web and mobile.

Candidates must be able to overlap European business hours (at least 4–6 hours) and travel to events as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Work as part of a tight-knit platform team, sharing on-call and jointly owning the platform roadmap.
• Drive and prioritize platform improvements across security, reliability, and observability.
• Extend and harden the Terraform/OpenTofu codebase managing AWS across multiple isolated environments.
• Operate and improve highly available AWS services with SLOs, alerting, and on-call discipline.
• Lead on security: least-privilege access, secrets management, network segmentation, encryption, and audit logging.
• Maintain CI/CD with keyless short-lived cloud credentials and own metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and actionable alerting.

Requirements:

• 5+ years in DevOps/SRE/SysOps/Platform Engineering with significant ownership of production AWS environments.
• Deep, hands-on AWS experience across IAM, compute, networking, managed databases, storage, secrets, and observability.
• Expert in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/OpenTofu) including modules, remote state, drift management, and multi-environment codebases.
• Strong security instincts and experience managing secrets and credentials for critical systems.
• CI/CD fluency (ideally GitHub Actions) including OIDC/keyless cloud authentication.
• Production operations maturity: observability, alerting, incident response, backups, and disaster recovery.
• Self-sufficient in a lean team with clear written communication and a remote-first working style.

Nice to have:

• Experience in FinTech, payments, banking, or regulated/high-trust environments (SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS).
• Web3/crypto infrastructure experience (running nodes, managing keys and HSMs) and threat modeling or incident-response leadership.
• Postgres tuning and zero-downtime migrations, Kubernetes or large-scale container orchestration, and multi-cloud exposure.
