Senior Platform Engineer

Full-time/Company: Chronicle

Chronicle develops decentralized oracle infrastructure that delivers verifiable real-time data to DeFi and tokenized asset applications. The company secures more than $15 billion in collateral across major blockchain ecosystems and is backed by a $12M seed round as it expands infrastructure, security, and operational capabilities for institutional customers.

Applicants must be based in the Central European time zone and work primarily during CET/CEST business hours.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and improve Chronicle’s AWS and EKS infrastructure and Kubernetes workloads.
• Manage networking, IAM, storage, compute via Terraform, Helm, and GitOps; support upgrades and migrations.
• Improve CI/CD safety, traceability, rollback practices, and operational automation.
• Maintain observability (metrics, logs, traces), alerting, and participate in scheduled on-call and incident response.
• Operate oracle infrastructure components (RPC nodes, relayers, signing services) and support messaging systems.
• Maintain documentation, runbooks, handovers, and cross-time-zone knowledge transfer.

Requirements:

• Strong experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure.
• Hands-on production experience with AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), Linux, networking, and IAM.
• Practical knowledge of Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, and CI/CD.
• Experience operating observability systems and participating in on-call, incident response, and recovery.
• Ability to automate operational tasks using Go, Python, Bash, or a comparable language.
• Clear written communication and disciplined documentation and handover practices.

Nice to have:

• Experience on financial, payments, custody, digital asset, or other security-sensitive platforms.
• Supported audit, compliance, or customer security review processes.
• Improved distributed on-call operations and cross-time-zone handovers.
• Experience with blockchain nodes, relayers, or decentralized infrastructure.
