Senior SDET (Systems Validation & Automation)

We are seeking a technically-driven Senior SDET (Systems Validation & Automation) to serve as the quality anchor for our high-velocity agentic platform. This isn't a traditional manual-to-automation role; we are looking for a Validator who can build resilient, "self-healing" test suites for a platform where UI and code are rapidly generated by AI.

You will work small pod of two Lead Full Stack Engineers and a UI Designer to ensure that our "Thin Slice" delivery model remains stable. Your mission is to provide the automated guardrails, specifically via Playwright, that allow us to innovate at speed without breaking the core administrative and system-wide journeys.

Our Core Tech Stack:

• Automation: Playwright (Primary), Vitest.

• Frontend to Test: React + TypeScript, React Flow, Canvas-based UI.

• Backend to Test: .NET (Minimal APIs), TypeScript (Express.js), gRPC, and REST.

• Process: Agentic-driven AI code generation and Figma-linked requirement identifiers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain a high-stability Playwright automation suite focused on end-to-end behavioral "smoke tests" for every new thin slice.

• Partner with the UI Designer to ensure design metadata (Test IDs and ARIA tags) is baked into wireframes before AI code generation occurs.

• Validate the integration between complex React Flow UI components and the underlying .NET/Express API layers.

• Build and manage resilient test data strategies that support rapid iteration of administrative flows and multi-tenant system logic.

• Focus on "behavioral validation" over exhaustive unit testing, ensuring that core user journeys work perfectly from a functional perspective.

• Actively participate in the "Innovation-to-Hardening" cycle, providing fast-follow automation scripts as soon as a feature is demonstrable.

• Root cause "flaky" tests caused by dynamic, AI-generated UI and implement strategies to ensure 99%+ automation stability.

Core Qualities & Skills

• You possess deep technical expertise in Playwright and can navigate the "fiddly" details of automating complex, non-standard UI.

• You are comfortable testing across a polyglot stack, including .NET Minimal APIs and Node.js backend services.

• You have a "Validator" mindset; you don't just find bugs; you verify that the "intent" of the Figma design was successfully realized in code.

• You thrive in a "Just Enough" documentation environment where speed of functional verification is prioritized over rigid QA processes.

• You are an expert in CSS selectors, DOM manipulation, and asynchronous state handling within React applications.

• You maintain a high bar for "Done," ensuring that a feature isn't considered complete until a smoke test proves it works in the broader ecosystem.

Salary starting from 3000 USD, Remote is okay.

Monday-Friday, 40hours per week.

This job requires working US Eastern time.
