SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER

to join our Supply team in Helsinki.

The Supply team sits at the beginning of Swappie’s circular economy. We manage the entire process of how phones enter our business - from building efficient, reliable supply sources to ensuring a seamless experience for individual sellers, external suppliers, and our internal team. Your work here directly fuels Swappie’s growth and profitability.

THE SCOPE OF YOUR IMPACT

\* The Source of Everything: Build and defend the sources of supply that phones flow through before they ever reach a customer — the foundation everything else in Swappie’s business is built on.

\* Smooth for Every Side: Design systems that make the supply journey seamless for individual consumers, external suppliers, and the Swappie employees who process devices day to day.

\* Sustaining and Scaling: Contribute to mission-critical initiatives that protect Swappie's profitability and power our next stage of growth, with your work translating directly into growth in consumer supply.

\* Full Lifecycle Ownership: Take responsibility spanning from designing features through programming to deployment, testing, and maintenance. You see your work through from idea to production.

\* Smarter Supply Through AI: Help scale how we use AI to make device valuation and supply processes more automated and accurate - directly shaping how confidently and quickly we can price and accept incoming devices.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL

\* Write & architect: Build high-quality, maintainable code using Python, Django, TypeScript, Node.js, React, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud.

\* AI-native development: Integrate agentic workflows into how we plan, design, and build to increase our engineering velocity. You’ll have the opportunity to help us shape these AI native processes.

\* Drive technical initiatives: Tackle some of the most important technical and business challenges within the Supply product area, from prototypes to finished features.

\* Own operational excellence: Continuously deliver features through collaboration, code reviews, and coaching, writing clean and maintainable code along the way.

\* Elevate the team: Raise the bar of technical excellence, foster growth in code quality and team morale through active coaching and providing technical mentorship.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TEAM:

\* The Full-Stack mindset: A thorough understanding of one modern tech stack and familiarity with technologies used at Swappie: Fluency in TypeScript and React, Node.js, and/or Python. You’re eager to work full stack, with your focus shifting depending on the team’s quarterly priorities.

\* Product-minded ownership: A proven track record of creating customer value through software development. You care about the impact on customers and business, not just the tech, and love building user-friendly products based on data and business intelligence.

\* AI-augmented engineering: You are experienced and excited about making AI a natural part of your workflow. You are comfortable starting to orchestrate multiple agents and a track record with agentic programming is a clear advantage.

\* Pragmatism & quality: Experience with fast-moving projects and initiatives, staying flexible while delivering features and updates to deployment with ease. You are result-oriented and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

\* Fluent English: Our working language is English, and you’re comfortable communicating and sharing knowledge with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
