1:1 Student Aide - Preschool (Behavior Technician)

Details about this opportunity: \\Must have at least 1 year of exp working with children.

• Location: Carmel, NY (in a Public Daycare setting)
• Status: Part-Time
• Hours: Monday - Friday, 29.5 hours/week
• Compensation: $19-20 hourly

\\Rates are determined by the service provided, professional experience and license/certifications held. In addition the position posted may be either full-time or fee-for-service (FFS), depending on the current caseload which will be discussed during the interview. This arrangement can vary and is subject to change.\\**

Responsibilities:

• Assists a student with special needs by providing academic, behavioral, and personal support.
• Work closely with teachers and specialists to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and ensure the student’s success in the classroom.
• Provide direct support to the assigned student in academic and social activities.
• Assist with classroom assignments, adapting materials as needed.
• Monitor and support behavioral goals, using positive reinforcement strategies.
• Help with daily living tasks, such as mobility, hygiene, and transitions.
• Escort the student to different locations (bathroom, cafeteria, therapy sessions).
• Communicate regularly with teachers, therapists, and parents about progress.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Understand and demonstrate the company core values.
