Automation & Controls Engineer, Launch Pad (Starship)
I am writing to express my strong interest in the Automation & Controls Engineer position for the Starship Launch Pad. With a solid foundation in engineering and hands-on experience in designing and commissioning industrial control systems, I am eager to contribute to SpaceX's mission of making life multi-planetary. My background in architecting PLC code, designing UL508A compliant panels, and integrating complex motion systems aligns perfectly with the technical demands of the Starship launch mount and integration tower.
Throughout my career and academic projects, I have demonstrated the ability to thrive in fast-paced, iterative environments where rapid problem-solving is essential. I am particularly drawn to this role because of the unique challenge of developing robust electrical systems for hazardous environments and the opportunity to work on the world's most powerful launch vehicle. I am prepared to bring my expertise in EPlan, Siemens NX, and various industrial protocols to ensure the success of the Starship program.

SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.
AUTOMATION & CONTROLS ENGINEER, LAUNCH PAD (STARSHIP)
SpaceX's Starship spacecraft and Super Heavy rocket (collectively referred to as Starship) represent a fully reusable transportation system designed to carry both crew and cargo to Earth orbit, the Moon, Mars and beyond. Starship will be the world's most powerful launch vehicle ever developed, with the ability to carry in excess of 100 metric tons to Earth orbit.
We are looking for an automation & controls engineer to help SpaceX develop and build launch systems for Starship. This role will be focused on electrical control systems for the launch mount and integration tower, including I/O systems, motion systems, and supporting infrastructure.
The successful applicant will be joining, and be supported, by a highly talented team of engineers with an amazing track record in developing any type of automated solution imaginable.
