Your Role:
We are seeking a Senior-level Back-End Architect to define and govern backend architecture across multiple products and platforms. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and the ability to make long-term architectural decisions aligned with business strategy.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Own backend architecture vision and roadmap across teams and domains
- Design large-scale distributed systems using PHP, Node.js, and Java
- Drive architectural decisions for microservices, event-driven systems, and data platforms
- Lead complex system refactoring and legacy modernization initiatives
- Define non-functional requirements (scalability, resilience, performance, security)
- Act as final technical authority in architecture and design reviews
- Mentor Senior Engineers and influence engineering culture
- Partner with product and business leaders on strategic initiatives
- Ensure architectural consistency and governance across teams
Who You Are:
Must-Have:
- 10+ years of backend engineering experience with 3–5+ years in an architecture role
- Proven experience designing enterprise-scale, high-traffic systems
- Deep expertise in PHP, Node.js, and Java ecosystems
- Strong background in distributed systems and fault tolerance
- Experience leading cross-team technical initiatives
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong understanding and practical application of architectural patterns
Preferred:
- Experience defining platform-wide standards and governance models
- Cloud-native architecture experience
- Experience with Kafka, Pub/Sub, or large-scale messaging systems
- Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design and Clean Architecture
