Job Description:

Join as the second backend engineer to build production-grade infrastructure for real-time voice interpretation. Working directly with the technical founder, you will own the core API platform that enables instant, tonally-accurate translation across multiple languages. You will architect scalable systems for high concurrency, ensuring natural, fluid conversations for global users.

What you will do:

• Design and build a unified AI API platform to package internal capabilities into a scalable, production-ready system.
• Architect and manage high-concurrency infrastructure, including real-time voice rooms, auto-scaling, and load balancing on Azure.
• Implement critical business logic systems including usage metering, billing pipelines, and comprehensive monitoring/analytics dashboards.

The ideal candidate:

• 4-8 years of backend experience with a proven track record of building and scaling production systems from the ground up.
• Expert-level Python skills with deep knowledge of distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and database optimization.
• Experience with real-time systems or voice technologies, paired with a strong ownership mindset to thrive in a small, fast-paced team.
