About the team:

At Luno, our main objective is to provide our users with a secure and streamlined cryptocurrency experience. To achieve this, our Internal Audit team plays a critical role in enforcing compliance, identifying potential risks and hazards, and prompting enhancements throughout our organization. We are currently seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead our team and deliver exceptional insights and solutions that align with our strategic objectives.

The role in a nutshell:

We're looking for a Senior Compliance Auditor to help us deliver our risk-based Internal Audit plan as we continue to support the organisation’s assurance and advisory needs. The role reports to the Internal Audit Lead who reports administratively to the CFO and functionally to the Board and Risk Committee.

Your mission will be:

• Contribute to the development of a risk-based Internal Audit plan with a focus on Compliance.
• Maintain and update the audit universe, identifying emerging risks and regulatory requirements.
• Understand the business's risk profile in the broader context of the group and industry.
• Perform allocated audits in line with the approved Internal Auditing Methodology, in line with International Standards of Auditing and maintain quality and performance standards consistently.
• Execute and deliver the audit plan and management requests promptly.
• Deliver impactful audit reports with well-considered management actions and due dates promptly.
• Drive the Combined Assurance efforts of the organisation.
• Execute the issues assurance plan promptly and by quality standards.
• Cultivate and maintain effective relationships with auditees.
• Contribute effectively to administrative needs of the Internal Audit function.

A little about you:

- Minimum Experience Level and Preferred Qualifications:

• A tertiary honours degree (or equivalent) in Internal Audit/Risk Management/Law.
• A minimum of 5 years experience with at least 3 years in a compliance related position and 2 years in an Internal Audit role..
• Ability to perform all stages of an audit project in line with applicable standards.
• A minimum of 2 years experience in key regulations in the Financial Industry ( especially AML/CFT regulations).

- Additional skills that will be beneficial to your application:

• Experience in Blockchain and Cryptocurrency.
• Relevant Compliance Certifications.
• Experience in auditing AML across various countries.
• Experience in auditing the ISO standards.
• Experience in auditing SOC compliance.
