THE WORK

As our Country Controller in Finland, you'll be responsible for the financial integrity of IQM's Finnish legal entity while helping strengthen our global finance function as a newly listed company. You'll ensure accurate statutory and IFRS reporting, lead local audit and compliance activities, and support financial processes that enable the company to scale as a global technology leader.

Working closely with Finance, Legal, Investor Relations, Commercial teams, and external partners, you'll act as the key finance expert for Finland, ensuring local compliance while aligning with global reporting standards. This is a role where technical accounting and reporting expertise, operational excellence, and continuous improvement come together to support IQM's next stage of growth.

WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY DO

\* Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes for the Finnish legal entity while supporting the global close process.

\* Ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with Finnish Accounting Standards (FAS) and IFRS.

\* Prepare and review financial statements, regulatory filings, and reporting packages while maintaining high-quality financial records and documentation.

\* Coordinate local statutory audits and support group audits, acting as the primary contact for auditors and external accounting service providers.

\* Partner with teams across finance and the broader organization on technical accounting matters, including IFRS interpretations, accounting policies, and intercompany transactions.

\* Support the design and implementation of SOX-level internal controls while driving improvements in financial processes, ERP systems, and reporting across the global finance organization.

\* Liaise with across Finance, Legal and Investor relations teams on Finnish public company reporting requirements

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

\* 5–7+ years of experience in controlling, accounting, financial reporting, or external audit within an international environment.

\* Strong expertise in Finnish Accounting Standards (FAS), IFRS, Finnish statutory reporting, and financial compliance.

\* Experience with public company reporting in Finland, external financial statement audits, and SOX compliance.

\* Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Finnish KLT certification is considered an advantage.

\* A collaborative and proactive mindset, with the ability to work across functions, coordinate external partners, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

\* Excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to solve complex accounting and reporting challenges under tight deadlines.

\* Full professional proficiency in both Finnish and English.
