Why this role matters:

Join Vonage's Applications Architecture team and help shape how we handle data across our unified communications platform. You'll work with hundreds of engineers across product lines, setting the direction for data platforms that serve millions of users worldwide.

As a trusted advisor and facilitator, you'll guide engineering teams and product managers on data architecture decisions - helping us build scalable, multi-tenant data products while maintaining speed and quality. This is about strategic influence, not hands-on coding.

Your key responsibilities:

• Design and guide the software and data architecture for customer-facing data products across multiple systems in a multi-tenant environment
• Set architecture vision for analytics data platform and identify emerging technology trends
• Work directly with engineering teams and product managers to scope features and solve complex data challenges
• Engage and be an active member of the wide Apps architecture team
• Facilitate technical discussions and help teams make better architectural decisions across domains
• Establish and evangelize best practices, guidelines, and standards for data management
• Identifying and sponsoring technical improvements
• Champion the team's vision while empowering teams to own their implementation

What you'll bring

Your background:

• 10+ years of building Software and Data-heavy systems - you've seen what works (and what doesn't)
• Experience designing features that utilize AI/ ML
• You've built data productsthat actually scale
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure (we love AWS, but a great cloud experience translates)
• Fluent in one of the languages, like Python, .NET, JavaScript—you speak a developer language

• You've worked with modern data tools: Kafka, Snowflake, Spark, Looker
• You know the telecom, SaaS, or unified comms space
• You've thrived in Agile/SAFe environments
• You've mentored engineers and watched them grow
• You have a bias for improvement - leaving things better than you found them is just how you work
