GNC Engineer, Starlink Controls (Starlink)
I am writing to express my strong interest in the GNC Engineer position for Starlink Controls. With a solid foundation in aerospace engineering and extensive experience in C++ development, I am eager to contribute to the robust and precise pointing capabilities of the Starlink satellite constellation. My background in designing closed-loop control systems and implementing flight code aligns perfectly with SpaceX's mission to provide high-speed internet globally.
Throughout my career, I have focused on the intersection of dynamics and software, developing high-fidelity simulations and deploying production-grade C++ code. I am particularly drawn to this role because it encompasses the full lifecycle of vehicle design, from initial trades to real-time operations in space. I am confident that my expertise in state estimation and rigid body dynamics will allow me to make immediate contributions to the Starlink GNC team.

Описание вакансии
SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.
GNC ENGINEER, STARLINK CONTROLS (STARLINK)
At SpaceX we’re leveraging our experience in building rockets and spacecraft to deploy Starlink, the world’s most advanced broadband internet system. Starlink is the world’s largest satellite constellation and is providing fast, reliable internet to 10M+ users worldwide. We design, build, test, and operate all parts of the system – thousands of satellites, consumer receivers that allow users to connect within minutes of unboxing, and the software that brings it all together. We’ve only begun to scratch the surface of Starlink’s potential global impact and are looking for best-in-class engineers to help maximize Starlink’s utility for communities and businesses around the globe.
As a control systems engineer on the Starlink Guidance, Navigation, and Control team (GNC), you will apply a strong expertise in dynamics and closed loop controls to achieve robust and precise pointing on satellites, payloads, propulsion systems, and mechanisms. This is not just an analysis role – you will be responsible for vehicle design trades, simulation, flight code implementation, and ultimately deploying and operating your features in space.
Come help us fly the world's largest constellation and make high speed internet available everywhere, all the time.
