Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Specialist (f/m/x)

We’re looking for a Health and Safety Specialist to join our ambitious HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) team in Bleiswijk. In this role, you’ll play a key part in implementing and maintaining the HelloFresh Benelux HSE strategy at our Distribution Center and Logistics Hub. You’ll be the go-to person for all health and safety matters on site: proactively identifying risks, driving improvements, and engaging employees to build a strong safety culture.

You’ll spend most of your time on the floor, working closely with teams to spot hazards, lead investigations, and make safety tangible and actionable. You’ll bring your expertise, energy, and communication skills to help others understand not just what needs to be done, but why it matters.

This is how you’ll make an impact

• Conduct and follow up on risk assessments, workplace inspections, and incident investigations to continuously improve safety performance.
• Develop and deliver trainings, procedures, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions to increase safety ownership across all teams.
• Support managers and team leads in applying HSE policies and ensuring compliance with Dutch health and safety regulations.
• Actively engage with employees on the work floor; listening, observing, and empowering them to take safety into their own hands.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design practical, sustainable solutions for identified risks and unsafe situations.
• Help shape a proactive and positive safety culture; where people feel responsible, informed, and safe.

Additional details

• Work location: Bleiswijk (on-site presence required), with occasional vistits at logistics hubs.
• Work-from-home flexibility: 1 day per week
• Working hours: Monday to Friday, during office hours

These are the ingredients you’ll bring to the team

• A bachelor’s degree and an MVK or HVK qualification, or an integral safety (IVK) background.
• 3–4 years of experience in a Health & Safety role, ideally within logistics, production, or manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of Dutch health and safety regulations and risk assessment methods.
• Proven experience in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and drafting clear, practical procedures.
• Experience conducting internal audits and compliance checks.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills;you motivate rather than enforce, and know how to bring people along.
• A hands-on, problem-solving attitude: you go to the floor, talk to people, and co-create solutions.
• The ability to prioritize and stay organized in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Full working proficiency in Dutch and English (both required).
