YOUR MISSIONS

In collaboration with the lawyer in charge of international expansion, you will directly contribute to the launch of Doctolib and our e-health services for patients and healthcare professionals in new countries. You will help build Doctolib’s market entry strategy across several new geographies and support its delivery in partnership with cross-functional teams, especially Business and Product. You will handle novel, complex, and very diverse legal matters in a highly operational context, working alongside around forty lawyers from other specialties.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Support Doctolib’s penetration in new countries and the launch of its services in new jurisdictions ;
• Analyze local rules (in particular, healthcare, data protection and digital laws), anticipate and assess the new legal risks associated with a new market, and develop recommendations and compliance plans ;.
• Support and advise internal teams driving international expansion projects—particularly the Strategy and Product teams and the company’s management —from initial projects through their operationalization ;
• Build the appropriate legal framework for entering a new country, balancing business objectives with a robust compliance and risk management approach ;
• Implement the legal localization of Doctolib’s activities (for example, drafting contractual documentation or supporting marketing efforts).
• Collaborate with foreign legal counsels and liaise with local regulatory authorities ;
• Contribute to building our reference documentation to guide internationalization projects from a legal standpoint

What we’re looking for in an International Expansion Legal Intern

You could be the next member of our team if:

• You have a Master’s degree (M2) in English law
• You ideally also hold a law degree in French law or from another country member of the European Union (part of your studies should have ideally been completed at a UK university).
• You have legal education in digital law and personal data protection (mandatory).
• You have past work experience (law firm or in-house) in the UK or a EU country.
• You communicate clearly in both spoken and written English (and ideally also in French).

It would be fantastic if you also:

• Have an entrepreneurial mindset and learn quickly.
• Know the healthcare sector.
• Are pragmatic and solution- and results-oriented.
• Thrive in cross-functional teamwork in an international environment.

Our offer

Hiring process

• A screening call, to discuss your career goals and skills (15 minutes).
• An operational interview, including a live case (1 hour).
• A final interview with the hiring manager (30 minutes).

Role details

• Full-time internship
• Duration: ideally 6 months, but please still apply if you are a UK trainee with only a shorter period available for this internship (minimum 4 months)
• Desired start date: July 2026
• Location: Levallois-Perret
• Compensation: To be defined based on education level
• This position is eligible for hybrid/remote work
