We are growing and we are looking for an Internal Communications Leadto join our People Team. In this exciting role you will contribute in significant ways to the company’s overall success, focused on ensuring our employees are kept informed, engaged, and motivated; improving our employee’s affiliation to our brand and helping to retain our greatest asset – our people. You will collaborate across the company, engage with key stakeholders to communicate through numerous channels, elevate our mission, values and culture and develop detailed plans supporting strategic communications, employee engagement and managing change.
This is a hybrid position working from our Herndon, VAor Arlington, VA office a couple days per week.
What you will do:
- Work closely with leaders across the company to establish key company messages
- Assist in establishing an internal communications strategy; assess results and adjust tactics accordingly
- Elevate our mission, values, and culture while shaping robust communication plans that assist employees in managing, embracing, and implementing change
- Ensure company initiatives and projects are successfully and consistently communicated to employees and stakeholders
- Plan, edit and write content for a variety of internal communication mediums, such as our TST Hub (intranet), monthly CEO newsletter, All Hands Events and Board Presentations
- Ensure internal communications messages are consistent across all mediums and for different departments of the company
- Ensure internal communication messages are consistent with external communication messages
- Storyboard or translate ideas to the creative team or external vendors as needed to further align our content to our Two Six Technologies brand
- Assist in delivering presentations at company events
- Draft messages or scripts from Sr. Leaders for presentation to employees in written or spoken form
- Assist Leadership Team and Key Personal in developing professional brands on key social media platforms
- Respond to feedback from staff and adjust communications content accordingly
- Assist in responding to crisis situations which affect company perception and reputation
What you will need:
- 5+ years of work experience as a Communications Assistant, Communication Specialist, or similar role
- Solid knowledge with social media platforms and social media marketing
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills, as well as the ability to source stories from leaders and employees
- Ability to develop communication strategies that engage our greatest asset – our employees
- Ability to suggest new communication vehicles and approaches that push boundaries
- Strong relationship building skills to engage leaders and employees across the company
- You will need to possess the confidence to present new ideas and explain our communication approach

The projected salary range listed for this position is annualized. This is a general guideline and not a guarantee of salary. Salary is one component of our total compensation package and the specific salary offered is determined by various factors, including, but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, geographic location, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements.

$118,500—$148,500 USD
