New Business Lead needed for 12 month FTC contract.

We are looking for a New Business Lead to join our UK growth team and you will be reporting to the UK Chief Growth Officer as a senior sales leader within the team. This hands-on individual contributor will drive significant new commerce business growth across the UK.

Operating with substantial autonomy, you will engage executive-level stakeholders (CIO, CTO, CMO) to shape our future revenue pipeline, collaborating closely with our commerce account portfolio team.

We are looking for a high-impact, results-driven professional who thrives at the forefront of commerce and technology innovation. Our ideal 'Hunter' possesses a deep industry and offering understanding, is deeply curious, adapts quickly to evolving ecosystems, and is a passionate problem solver and critical thinker. You will drive new client revenue through innovative ideas, creativity, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Beyond skills, attitude is crucial. This self-starter will be highly motivated, possess natural leadership and gravitas, and be comfortable navigating a varied, fast-paced environment. With significant energy and drive, you will passionately develop the business by fostering cross-departmental collaboration and buy-in.

What you’ll be doing

  • Proactively identify and cultivate commerce new business opportunities, acting as a primary "door opener".
  • Drive the end-to-end sales cycle, from initial engagement and rigorous lead qualification through to commercial scoping and initial opportunity conversion.
  • Strategically build and manage a robust new business pipeline, ensuring consistent revenue growth.
  • Collaborate closely with internal specialists and strategic partner teams (e.g., Shopify, Adobe Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud) to leverage expertise and develop comprehensive solutions. As well as connecting them to wider commerce capabilities such as our PIM team.
  • Engage senior client stakeholders (CIO, CTO, CMO levels) in strategic discussions about the future of commerce, technology, and digital transformation.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conduct proactive outreach, and network extensively to generate new leads and foster relationships.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including commercial and platform specialists, to transition qualified opportunities for deeper development and closure.

What we want from you

  • Proven Sales Acumen: A distinguished track record as a top-performing new business development professional with a strong instinct to seek out new opportunities.
  • Executive Engagement: Demonstrated ability to confidently engage and build rapport with senior IT and marketing leaders (e.g., CIO, CTO, CMO), commanding a room with credibility and strategic insight.
  • Industry & Technical Expertise: A deep understanding of commerce platforms primarily, as well as CMS, experience platforms, and the broader technology landscape, including key cloud partnerships (AWS, Google, Adobe).
  • Consultative Approach: Experience in selling complex services and solutions, rather than just software licenses, adept at understanding client challenges and positioning tailored value.
  • Strategic Qualification: Exceptional skills in rigorously qualifying leads and opportunities, ensuring focus on viable prospects with high conversion potential.
  • Autonomy & Adaptability: A self-starter with a "roll-up-your-sleeves" mentality, comfortable operating independently within an unstructured, fast-paced, and performance-driven environment.
  • Target-Oriented: Highly motivated by achieving and exceeding sales targets, with a resilient and persistent approach.
  • Experience within the government sector is considered a plus.
