Product Security Partner

We are currently looking for multiple Partners in different parts of our organization to join our Security Partner Team.  The Security Partner is a high-impact, role that blends strategic advisory with the technical rigor of Product Security Engineering.

You will act as the primary security expert for a wide range of engineering teams, ensuring that security is embedded early in the product lifecycle (“security by design”). Rather than acting as a late-stage gatekeeper, you are a collaborative peer who builds deep relationships with product and engineering teams to learn the ins-and-outs of their products. You will empower these teams to build secure, compliant products by providing hands-on technical guidance, facilitating threat modeling, and developing self-service security resources.

You will collaborate closely with many parts of the organization to build the future of secure financial services. Next to your support in building the future of secure financial services, you will be involved in various security operations. This includes leading technical activities such as facilitating threat modeling sessions to identify attack vectors and conducting secure design reviews to ensure resilient architectures. You will also provide support for security assessments and audits, helping identify and remediate vulnerabilities. You will directly accelerate business growth by providing the security insights needed to answer merchant inquiries and external security questionnaires. You will act as a vital technical mentor for the organization’s daily needs ranging from approving security requests to providing subject matter expertise ensuring a proactive security culture is felt across every department.

At Adyen, we have many multi-disciplinary teams each focusing on different aspects of  products, engineering and business. It will be your role to support these teams in making the right choices and delivering great security outcomes. Examples of challenges you will work on are:

• How can Security support these teams without slowing them down?
• How can we embed security in every phase of our product lifecycle?
• How do we enable open communication about security risks across all teams and layers of the organization?
• How do we balance managing security risks with business opportunity and speed of execution?

What you’ll do

• You will build relations with the product and engineering teams and learn the ins-and-outs of their products.
• Be the go-to security person for a subset of engineering teams and help them with your security domain knowledge both technical and non-technical
• Work closely together with our engineers to architect secure systems and support our engineers by facilitating our security related activities and processes, such as secure design and threat modelling exercises.
• Work together with the global Security Team on a wide range of security challenges.
• Help shape and execute on the culture and practice of security in a rapidly growing FintTech that processes $1T+ of payment per year

Who you are

• You have at least 3 years experience working in the security domain, preferably in a fast-paced environment
• You have broad and substantial experience in different security domains, and have experience in more than one of the following areas: Development Security, Secure Design, Container Security, Mobile Security, Infrastructure Security.
• You have experience in facilitating Security activities, such as Threat Modelling and Secure Design reviews.
• You have Understanding of web technologies and the security nuances of modern web and/or mobile frameworks.
• You are enthusiastic about security and able to foster a strong security culture in a positive, structural way.
• You understand that information security problems need people-based solutions as much as technology-based ones.
• You are able to proactively identify, assess and discuss security priorities in different layers of the organization.
• You are able to foster strong collaboration with engineering teams.
• You have great communication skills, the ability to communicate with stakeholders on any technical level.
