Work Arrangement

This is a remote position with occasional travel.

Job Overview

A Program Manager 1 is responsible for assisting with overseeing the planning, execution, and evaluation of various projects by coordinating project teams, set project goals, create project plans, allocate resources, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of deliverables. They also track project budgets, manage risks, and communicate project updates to stakeholders.

Essential Functions

• Provide expertise exhibiting a depth of knowledge across Ground and Flight Test Operations and Subcontractor Management to include operational, engineering, maintenance, system test and technical management disciplines for which they are assigned.
• Assist the Program Director or other Program Managers and customers in determining project requirements and developing a work plan to execute the work.
• Assist with or develop cost and/or technical proposals for assigned and new projects.
• Assist in the management of or manage assigned project or subcontract cost, schedule, scope, and budget.
• Assist in the development of a Crash Damaged Disabled Aircraft Recovery (CDDAR) program.
• Identify and analyze potential risks to technical performance, schedule, and cost.
• Plan and implement risk mitigating/avoidance actions to reduce the likelihood of occurrence.
• Monitor and track risks, adapt to changing contract circumstances to control risks.
• Assist with or act as the hiring manager for assigned projects/programs; supervise the screening, selection, and hiring of all candidates.
• Ensure projects/programs/subcontracts are executed to the highest level of safety and compliance.
• Ensure all subordinate personnel meet/exceed professional standards and embrace the AEVEX culture.
• Effectively communicate expectations and develop innovative strategies to enhance organizational capabilities that support operational priorities and requirements.
• Prepare and update project plans, status reports, and provide updates on customer and corporate issues.
• Serve as the point of contact for all customer contract inquiries, general correspondence, requests for technical and pricing data, and other program transactions.
• Develop or assist in the development of program schedules, integrating industry best practices to meet or exceed program financial goals.
• Develops and maintains strong working relationships both internally and externally, and positively represents the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Competencies

• Working knowledge of US Military and Federal Acquisition Regulations.
• Working knowledge of AFI 21-119 or similar regulations relating to aircraft crash recovery.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Ability to develop and mentor others.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suites (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Always demonstrates Professionalism and Integrity.

Education / Certifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited University (MS or MBA preferred).
• Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification or DAWIA Level 1 (preferred)

Experience

• 5+ years Program/Project Management experience is desired.
• Experience in Military Ground/Flight Test Operations.
• Experience with Group 5 UAS Crash Damaged Disabled Aircraft Recovery (CDDAR).

Physical Requirements

Constantly required to sit, and to reach to use computers and other office equipment

Security Clearance

• Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret DoD clearance, U.S. Citizenship required.

AEVEX provides a reasonable range of compensation. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific location. The range of starting pay for this position is for the listed location only.

Salary Range

$99,000—$130,000 USD
