"Project Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the development strategy for auto testing in the company
• Create, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Cypress
• Write clear and maintainable JavaScript code for test automation
• Identify test scenarios
• Detect issues and inconsistencies in web applications during test execution
• Document bugs and report them to the development team using Jira
• Work closely with developers, product manager, and the QA team to understand requirements and functionality
• Ensure Cypress is integrated with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab)

Candidate's Portrait

We will consider a Specialist who would be able to do QA automation, specifically, writing Cypress and Front-End unit-tests for a project written in Angular and taking ownership of the development strategy for auto testing in the company.

Using AI agents to analyze requirements and identify test scenarios

AI-assisted analysis of test failures and debugging

Identifying and reducing flaky tests with AI

AI-assisted code review

AI-assisted CI/CD pipeline creation and configuration

AI agents integrated into QA workflows

Using AI to identify edge cases and negative scenarios

Human validation and review of AI-generated tests

Important: Understand AI Agents, Not Just AI Tools

You should understand the difference between simply using an AI assistant and working with an AI agent.

Be ready to explain, at a high level:

What an AI agent is

How an AI agent differs from a standard chatbot or coding assistant

How an agent can receive context and instructions

How agents can use tools or access project information

How an agent can analyze requirements and perform multi-step tasks

How an agent can generate and validate test scenarios

How you would evaluate the quality of an agent's output

How you would handle incorrect, incomplete, or hallucinated results

How you would improve an agent's performance through better prompts, context, instructions, or workflow design

You do not necessarily need to be an AI/ML engineer, but you should demonstrate that you understand how AI agents can be integrated into a real QA and software development workflow.

Must-haves

• Experience with Cypress for writing and executing automated tests
• Good knowledge of JavaScript and ES6+, understanding of HTML, CSS, and the DOM structure for web application testing
• Knowledge of software testing principles, including functional, regression, and end-to-end testing
• Ability to write and execute test cases and scenarios
• Ability to identify and analyze bugs in web applications
• Basic debugging skills to determine the root cause of test failures
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how test automation integrates into them
• Good level of English for communication - B2 and higher
