About the Role
This is a foundational hire.
As Sales Development Team Lead, you will build and scale a brand-new outbound function targeting independent restaurants across the UK. There is no existing team or process to inherit. You will design the system, hire the team, implement the tools, and drive performance.
This role is both strategic and operational. Success will be measured by predictable, high-quality pipeline generation.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Build the Outbound Engine
- Understand ICP, build segmentation and territory strategy
- Create cold calling frameworks, cadences, and qualification standards
- Implement CRM discipline, reporting dashboards, and pipeline definitions
- Establish a repeatable system that produces consistent meeting volume
Pipeline & Performance Management
- Monitor pipeline coverage, conversion rates, and efficiency metrics
- Forecast meeting generation accurately
- Optimise activity-to-meeting ratios and rep productivity
AI & Automation
- Implement AI for prospect research, personalisation, and call coaching
- Automate workflows and reporting
- Reduce cost per lead, opportunity, and closed won through continuous optimisation of outbound systems
Cross-Functional Alignment
- Ensure strong handoff to Sales
- Partner with Marketing and Commercial leadership on messaging, tooling, and data quality
We’re looking for…
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- GTM systems excellence: CRM, no-code automation tools, and an AI-native GTM stack
- AI fluency: experience building agents and agentic workflows in a GTM environment
- Experience scaling cold outbound motions, with a track record of managing ICs to exceed targets
- High energy, resilience, and a growth mindset
- Experience with our ICP in the UK market
Preferred Qualifications
- This is not an entry-level role. Must have 3+ years’ experience managing outbound teams and building outbound systems in an Inside Sales or SDR environment
- Experience in the restaurant sector, including companies selling into the UK restaurant market
- Deep fluency in GTM systems is preferred
