About you

The Role

This is an on-site role based out of our Bogotá office in Chico

As a Senior Accountant at MAJORITY, you will own accounting operations across our US and Colombia entities. You will lead payroll in Colombia, manage accounts payable, and drive month-end close processes. This role requires a senior-level professional who can operate independently, maintain strong internal controls, and ensure clean, audit-ready books at all times.

Main tasks:

• Own full-cycle accounting for US and Colombia entities
• Lead Colombian payroll processing and ensure labor and tax compliance
• Own accounts payable operations with primary focus on US entities, including approvals, coding, reconciliations, and process improvements
• Drive month-end close, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Maintain general ledger integrity and financial reporting accuracy
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and Colombian accounting standards
• Support audits and annual reporting deliverables
• Build and improve scalable accounting processes and documentation

• Strong technical accounting knowledge (US GAAP required)
• Experienced in Colombian payroll and compliance

Experience and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent field
• 6–10+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Fully fluent in English with excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Spanish
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP
• Hands-on experience managing payroll in Colombia
• Experience leading month-end close processes
• Advanced Excel proficiency
• Experience with QuickBooks Online, Tipalti, Expensify, and ADP a plus
