• Architecting and engineering full spectrum solutions in hardened operating environments at the application, OS, and cloud service levels.
• Interfacing with customers to translate business requirements into production solutions.
• Performing legacy workload discoveries and leading cloud migration and modernization efforts.
• Documenting and codifying solution deliveries within a DevSecOps cycle.
• Performing holistic financial analysis of cloud-based workloads to identify and implement cost and usage efficiencies.
• Market research and testing of best-fit technologies to meet customer requirements.
• Leading and training junior developers in technical delivery requirements for government customers.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Cloud Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or 10+ years of equivalent industry experience.
• 3+ years of experience developing solutions in AWS GovCloud and/or one of the following cloud platforms: CloudOne/PlatformOne, DAFCloudWorks, FENCES, ODIN, etc.
• Exceptional ability to solve complex technical problems and execute multi-faceted tasks autonomously, integrating and optimizing diverse cloud services and applications to fulfill business needs while upholding rigorous security standards.
• Expertise in cloud infrastructure and architecture, specifically with AWS, including deep knowledge of security best practices and governance policies (e.g., Service Control Policies or similar guardrails).
• Demonstrated experience working within a DevSecOps framework, with a solid grasp of compliance and regulatory requirements relevant to federal or highly-regulated environments (e.g., NIST, ISO, or DoD frameworks).
• Experience integrating at least three of the following technology categories:

+ AWS GovCloud – VPC, EC2, RDS, S3, KMS, AWS Organizations, IAM, IAM Identity Center, ECS, EKS, Inspector, Systems Manager, Workspaces, Appstream, Direct Connect, Outposts, Diode, AWS CLI/Boto3.

+ Operating Systems – RHEL 8, Amazon Linux 2023, Windows Server 2019+, Bottlerocket

+ SaaS Products – Okta, Zscaler Private Access, SmartSheets

+ Software – Gitlab, Elasticsearch, Kibana, Palo Alto NGFW & Panorama

+ Programmatic Tools – Gitlab-CI, Terraform/OpenTofu, Ansible, Bash, Powershell, Windows Group Policy

+ Containers – Docker, Kubernetes, NueVector, Kyverno, Cilium, SonarQube

• U.S. Citizenship and clearance eligibility up to the Top Secret/SCI level.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active U.S. Federal Government security clearance.
• Master’s degree in Cloud Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Ruby, etc.
• Associate or Professional level AWS certification.
• Experience working with customers in the U.S. Public Sector.

The estimated compensation range is $160,000.00 - $185,000.00, commensurate on experience and technical skillset.
