Your start with ESN & More as a (Senior) Business Controlling Analyst (gn).

The role plays a key part in financial business steering at TQG, ensuring high-quality reporting, insightful analysis, and forward-looking performance management. It focuses on partnering with business teams while driving the development of modern, technology-enabled controlling tools to support effective decision-making.

This role is based at our headquarters in Hamburg, Ottensen, with a flexible hybrid setup. Ideally, you would be on-site 1–2 days per week, while the overall balance between remote and office work remains flexible.

In order to perform the role and duties effectively, we ask for your understanding that we can only consider candidates who have German language skills at a minimum C1 level.

Your mission

You play an active role in TQG financial business steering:

• You steer and coordinate the monthly business controlling closing process and play a central role in financial performance steering, ensuring timely, high-quality reporting and clear visibility on in-month and month-end performance. You maintain a forward-looking view on risks and opportunities and analyze forecast submissions to ensure alignment with overall expectations
• You own the timely creation and continuous improvement of cost reporting, tailoring insights to business stakeholders to enhance usability and drive actionable impact
• You act as a key business partner for our Influencer Marketing and Events teams, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis

You actively shape the next generation of technology-enabled business controlling tools, leveraging ongoing transformation initiatives to strengthen decision-making

• You design and develop future-ready financial reporting and analysis tools, leveraging the opportunities created by the ongoing transformation program
• You drive best practices across month-end and reporting activities, automating processes using new system capabilities to enhance transparency, efficiency, and scalability
• You collaborate closely with the BI team to continuously improve data availability, structure, and quality
• You contribute to cross-functional transformation initiatives, supporting the automation and optimization of processes and systems

Your experience & skills

• You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Controlling, or a comparable qualification
• You bring several years of professional experience (approx. 3–5 years) in Controlling, FP&A, or a similar analytical finance role
• You have experience working with business stakeholders and within matrix organizations
• You possess strong data and analytical skills, with hands-on experience in building scalable reporting and data models (e.g., SQL, Python, BI tools), and a proven ability to automate and optimize finance processes using modern tools and technologies
• You have advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP); knowledge of CO-PA is a plus
• You work in a structured, independent, and solution-oriented way, even in a dynamic environment
• You are fluent in English and German
