About The Opportunity

Flodesk is evolving into a full-funnel marketing platform - spanning email, forms, checkout, and workflows - all designed to help small businesses grow effortlessly.

We're looking for a Middle to Senior Frontend Engineer to build intuitive, intelligent interfaces that simplify complex marketing tasks and empower our users to achieve more with less effort.

What you will do

You will not just "convert Figma to Code". Your core challenges will include:

• Craft delightful, intuitive interfaces that anticipate user needs across our product suite, including email, forms, checkout, and workflow automation.
• Build AI-powered features that help users accomplish more: smarter writing assistance, auto-generated designs, and intelligent workflows.
• Optimize for performance, accessibility, and stability. Drive 80%+ test coverage and maintain our scalable component library across products.
• Collaborate with product managers/designers to create seamless UI/UX and delightful interactions while staying current with modern frontend technologies.

What you need to be successful

Engineering Skills

• Frontend Mastery: You have deep skills in TypeScript and React (Hooks, Context). You understand how React works under the hood (re-rendering, virtual DOM).
• Modern Tooling: You are comfortable with modern build tools (Vite, Turbo) and Monorepos.
• Performance: Strong foundation in performance optimization and code-splitting strategies.

Product & Design Mindset

• Eye for Design: You have strong attention to detail. You care about typography, spacing, and animations. You don't just "match the design", you make it feel good to use.
• User Focus: You think about the user journey. You ask: "Is this loading state confusing?" or "Does this work well on mobile?"

Collaboration

• Ownership: You own your work and learn from mistakes. You don't wait for detailed instructions; you talk to the PM, understand the requirement, and deliver the solution.
• Communication: You can explain technical problems to non-technical people (like Designers or other stakeholders) clearly and respectfully.
• Teamwork: You value team success. You believe in code reviews and sharing knowledge. You help the team get better every day.

Nice To Have

• AI-Powered Interfaces: Experience shipping AI or conversational UI features that improved user outcomes.
• Agentic Development Workflows: Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development workflows (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, etc.)
