Revolutionize the future of autonomous driving with us. We are seeking a talented Senior Frontend Software Engineer to join our Map Creator team. The successful candidate will be integral to the development of a cutting-edge, web-based semantic map annotation editor for our autonomous vehicles. This role involves managing massive-scale map data, by ensuring it can be edited, validated, and visualized, while maintaining great performance.  Furthermore, you will also take part in automating map generation processes and designing efficient user workflows to drive operational profitability. Your contributions will directly shape the future of transportation.

What you'll tackle:

• Design, build, document, test, and maintain our web-based map editors and 3D visualizations, ensuring they handle massive datasets with ease.
• Craft clean, maintainable code that sets the standard for best practices across the team.
• Monitor, support, and resolve issues as they arise.
• Optimize web applications for peak performance, making sure our tools can handle terabytes of map data visualization, validation, and editing.
• Take ownership of projects, driving innovation and process improvements that elevate our entire workflow.
• Work hand-in-hand with Machine Learning teams to integrate automations, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in map annotation.
• Collaborate with diverse international teams to develop cutting-edge map solutions that meet the evolving needs of our researchers and engineers.
• Harness cutting-edge AI tools to supercharge your daily workflow, and actively contribute to integrating agentic AI capabilities directly into our development lifecycle.

Join our team if you:

• Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as a frontend software engineer.
• Are a Typescript maestro and a React rockstar.
• Have a knack for UI/UX design, making complex tools intuitive and delightful.
• Write great design docs that clearly articulate technical proposals, architectural decisions, and implementation details for our mapping solutions.
• Have a rock-solid grasp of engineering fundamentals, such as observability, concurrency, parallelization, frontend architecture, and design patterns.
• Top-notch performance optimization skills.
• Love solving complex problems and are always eager to learn something new.
• Can bridge the gap between technical and non-technical international folks with your stellar communication skills.

Bonus points if you:

• Bring hands-on experience with geospatial data and modern mapping systems.
• Experience with 3D visualization libraries such as Three.js or DeckGL, or direct experience with WebGL and WebGPU.
