It is a very exciting time of growth for our Azure Infrastructure team. We are hiring a Senior Microsoft Infrastructure Architect to work with customers leading Active Directory (AD) and Identity Management assessments, architecture, on-prem to Azure migrations and implementations.

*This hybrid role will be based in the Atlanta area and will require 2-3 dayson-site.*

What will this role entail?

As a Microsoft Infrastructure Architect you will:

Key responsibilities include:

• Define the vision and roadmap for enterprise identity and infrastructure modernization, ensuring alignment with business priorities, security frameworks, and compliance requirements.
• Provide architectural leadership across Active Directory, Azure, and hybrid identity platforms, including modernization, hardening, and long‑term governance strategies.
• Lead end‑to‑end architecture assessments, evaluating current-state environments and translating findings into actionable recommendations, future-state designs, and transformation plans.
• Champion cloud adoption and hybrid identity initiatives, including the transition to Microsoft Entra ID, Zero Trust models, conditional access, and advanced identity governance.
• Collaborate closely with IT, Security, Engineering, and Compliance stakeholders to establish architectural standards, influence technical direction, and promote best practices across the organization.
• Guide the implementation of enterprise‑scale solutions, ensuring seamless integration, operational readiness, and long-term sustainability.
• Mentor and support technical teams, elevating internal capabilities and fostering a strong architecture mindset across project and operational groups.
• Maintain high-quality architectural documentation, including reference architectures, security models, design patterns, and operational procedures.

What’s required to be successful in this role?

• Proven expertise in Active Directory architecture, design, and troubleshooting in complex large scale enterprise environments, including domain structure, GPOs, OU design, replication, and trust relationships.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD, including hybrid identity and federation (AD FS, Pass-through Authentication, etc.).
• Well established understanding of SSO protocols: SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), LDAP, Kerberos. Along with Identity Providers (IdPs): Okta, Azure AD, Ping Identity, Auth0, ForgeRock, etc.
• Deep understanding of identity security, including privileged access management (PAM), MFA, conditional access, and Zero Trust.
• Experience with Microsoft Defender for Identity, Microsoft Sentinel, and other Microsoft 365 security tools.
• Experience with integrating identity security solutions with on-prem and cloud-based data sources
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to effectively engage and influence business stakeholders, discern business needs and translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations
• Desire to own assignments and work independently, but as part of a team to accomplish common goals
• Ability to successfully handle multiple work streams and embrace change in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Ability to maintain composure and professionalism while managing to deadlines and shifting priorities
• Strong problem solving, decision making, time management and organizational skills
• Innovative thinker with a desire and aptitude to always be learning and adapt to new business and/or functional concepts
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Willingness to travel when required *(minimal)*

What’s the minimum experience required for this role?

• 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure with a focus on Microsoft technologies.
• Previous consulting experience in a customer-facing role

What else would set me apart?

• Previous experience with a Microsoft systems integrator
• Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert, Identity and Access Administrator Associate, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Experience with Entra Permissions Management, Entra Verified ID, and Entra Workload ID.
• Background in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Graph API).
• Experience in large-scale AD migrations or consolidations.
• Experience working with offshore teams
