The Senior NetSuite Engineer Opportunity

Okta is seeking a skilled Senior NetSuite Engineer to optimize, customize, and maintain our NetSuite ERP system. As part of our Finance Technology team, you will develop scripts, workflows, integrations, and system enhancements to improve business processes and scalability. This role reports to the Director of Finance Technology. We’d love to hear from you.

What you will be doing:

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of NetSuite solutions, including SuiteScript, workflows, and saved searches
• Leverage NetSuite native AI capabilities and APIs (e.g., SuiteScript Generative AI API, NetSuite Prompt Studio, AI Connector Service (MCP)) to create AI-enhanced features
• Partner with analysts and the offshore team (India) to drive technical design, POCs, and evaluation of new tools and technologies
• Work closely with the Technology team to design, develop, test, implement, and support solutions in NetSuite ERP
• Provide technical consultation, best practices, and problem resolution
• Resolve production issues and provide ongoing support
• Develop and maintain integrations with third-party applications via REST/SOAP APIs
• Dedicate time to learning and experimenting with external AI frameworks (e.g., AWS Bedrock and RAG) to identify opportunities for future NetSuite enhancements

What you will bring to the role:

• 5+ years of NetSuite development experience (SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, SuiteTalk)
• Experience with SuiteCloud tools, REST/SOAP APIs, and third-party integrations
• Strong understanding of NetSuite ERP modules (Order Management, Billing, Vendor Bills, etc.)
• Proficiency in JavaScript, SQL, and related web technologies
• Ability to configure NetSuite modules to align with business needs and collaborate with other developers to architect solutions
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent industry experience

And extra credit if you have experience in any of the following!

• Familiarity with NetSuite native AI capabilities and APIs (e.g., SuiteScript Generative AI API, NetSuite Prompt Studio, AI Connector Service (MCP))
• Experience evaluating and integrating AI/ML platforms (e.g., AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI) and frameworks (e.g., SageMaker, Azure ML, DataRobot) within ERP, financial, and legal ecosystems
• Ability to partner with cross-functional AI teams and design data pipelines/model-serving layers connecting structured and unstructured data (e.g., invoices, contracts, emails) to AI/ML tools
• Working knowledge of LLMs (Gemini, OpenAI, Claude) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
• NetSuite Administrator or ERP Consultant certification

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in San Francisco Bay Area. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between:

$128,000—$176,000 USD
