WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Trade Republic is known for shipping fast and strong, and at the core of this is Platform Engineering providing robust and scalable self-service platforms to enable our product engineers to deliver. Moving into the direction of golden paths, self service, and autonomy. We encapsulate complexity and deliver scalable solutions that empower millions of users to invest, trade, and save billions of euros.

• Build the platform: Build in-house provisioning and lifecycle management services in Go—from just-in-time provisioning to hands-off retirement—while integrating directly with underlying infrastructure endpoints and surfacing golden-path templates in our IDP.
• Accelerate developer feedback loops: Empower teams to spin up production services in minutes, instrument key developer metrics, and channel those insights back into the platform—cutting cycle times and enabling product engineers to ship great features faster.
• Engineer for resilience at scale: Define and monitor SLOs, burn-rates, and error budgets for every platform service. Continuously improve our platform product through functional and non functional testing. Lead blameless post-incident reviews and automate safety guardrails.
• Own the platform: Shape the roadmap end-to-end—work with product managers to understand user needs, balance cost, latency, and developer experience, pick the right tech, and clearly explain trade-offs to leadership.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 3+ years building backend or platform services in Go.
• Cloud-native in your DNA: hands-on with Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, and experienced running production workloads on AWS, GCP, or another public cloud.
• A passion for designing simple APIs for complex infrastructure.
• Proven ability to make distributed systems reliable under real‑world traffic.
• Demonstrated ability to turn best practices into opinionated “paved roads” that make doing the right thing effortless.
• Clear, concise English communication.

The toolbox we use (and you probably know): Go, Kubernetes (EKS), Karpenter, ArgoCD, AWS, Terraform, Backstage, GitHub Actions, Prometheus, Loki, Grafana. Experience with every single item is not required—bring your strengths and curiosity.
