Job Summary 

As a *Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (19518)*, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient software applications. Your role will involve leading technical projects, mentoring junior engineers, and continuously improving software development practices to ensure the delivery of robust and reliable software systems.  

Responsibilities and Duties 

• Estimate testing efforts based on technical specifications and participate in early planning phases to ensure comprehensive quality coverage across the SDLC
• Design, document, and execute functional, regression, performance, and acceptance test cases, ensuring software stability, reliability, and usability
• Identify, document, and validate defects, measure product stability through test metrics, and escalate risks impacting delivery timelines or quality
• Manage and prioritize the automation backlog, collaborate with automation engineers to increase test coverage, and leverage Agentic AI tools to enhance productivity and testing efficiency

Qualifications and Skills 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Geophysics, Computer Science, or a related Engineering discipline
• 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance within complex software environments, preferably in geoscience or energy industry domains
• Strong experience designing and executing manual regression, functional, and performance testing strategies
• Hands-on experience managing test cases and defects using tools such as Azure DevOps or similar platforms
• Experience working with OpenWorks/Oracle databases and managing synthetic or project-based data sets
• Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and tools (e.g., GitLab) within Agile environments
• Proficiency working across both Windows and Linux platforms
• Hands-on experience using automation tools and frameworks to increase quality coverage
• Experience leveraging Agentic AI or AI-powered tools to improve productivity and quality processes
• Strong communication skills, collaborative mindset, and ability to work effectively in distributed global teams while mentoring junior members
