The Role

We are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer (SDET) to help stabilize and scale the quality practices around our large .NET MAUI Windows application. The role focuses on building a sustainable testing strategy, implementing automated testing, and improving how we define and verify requirements. You will work closely with developers and product owners to ensure new features are designed with testability, clear acceptance criteria, and automated validation. This is a hands-on engineering role, not just manual testing.

Please note that while this role is fully remote, we are looking for candidates based in Eygpt.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing a sustainable testing strategy for a MAUI desktop app
• Building and maintaining UI automation tests (WinAppDriver, FlaUI, UIA3)
• Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions)
• Working closely with developers to ensure features are designed with testability in mind
• Helping define clear, testable acceptance criteria for every story
• Introducing quality metrics: test coverage, regression stability, build health

Qualifications

• You're strong in C# and the .NET testing ecosystem
• You have experience testing desktop applications (MAUI, WPF, WinUI, or similar)
• You can write maintainable automation — code that developers actually want to keep
• You've worked in Agile teams and collaborates well with engineers
• You focus on preventing bugs, not just catching them
• You can work independently and bring ideas, not just test cases
• Bonus points for experience with

1. .NET MAUI

2. UI Automation / accessibility APIs

3. WebSockets or real-time systems

4. Introducing QA practices in teams that previously had little to none
