ABOUT THIS ROLE

As a Senior Software Engineer for our Core Services, you will play a critical role in developing solutions with a team of talented and experienced software engineers. You will be responsible for designing and implementing projects to unlock the power of the LVT Hardware Platform. You will help foster a culture of innovation, striving to use the best tools for software engineering. Your software will be deployed to the cloud with a high degree of reliability and security. You will be an influencer for our engineering culture and quickly establish yourself as a natural go-to thought leader among your more senior peers in the organization.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Technical Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in cloud software and AI assisted development. Stay up to date with advancements in the field and proactively identify opportunities to leverage new technologies for improved product development.
• Technical Leadership: Lead the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of backend services. In addition to being a high-velocity producer, be a prominent influencer in defining the engineering culture within your team, including its technical direction, methodologies and best practices, and robust engineering design.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Contribute to the planning, execution, and delivery of software development projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Product Management, Quality Assurance, and DevOps to define project requirements, provide development estimates, ensure seamless integration, and manage timelines. Foster effective communication channels and promote a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Engineering Experience: 10+ years of engineering experience
• Technical Stack: Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js/NestJS, Protobuf, AWS, GraphQL
• Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.  Experience in developing and executing strategic plans that meet business needs.
• Education: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
