About the team:

The Asset Data Platform team is responsible for all blockchain data of Coinbase.  This is one of the most visible and business-critical platforms at Coinbase. We create systems to ingest and serve real-time asset and blockchain data to customers.  Behind every trade, chart, wallet balance, and DeFi position is the work of our team.  We collect, normalize, and serve asset metadata, real-time prices, and historical data at massive scale—powering everything from Coinbase Exchange to Wallet and DEX.

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):

• Design and implement next generation crypto data systems that power Coinbase
• Interact with stakeholders in many different organizations that build Coinbase products or responsible for financial operations
• Participate in shaping of  the strategy and execution path of the Asset Data team
• Manage individual projects priorities, deadlines and deliverables with your technical expertise
• Mentor and train other team members on design techniques and coding standards
• Write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of your customers.

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

• 10 + years of experience in backend software engineering using Golang or similar languages
• You’ve experience in architecting and developing solutions to ambiguous problems with significant impact
• Strong technical knowledge of building distributed systems that process massive scale
• Proven ability to lead complex, cross-organizational initiatives and drive architectural cohesion.
• Solid communication skills and ability to communicate to stakeholders with various technical and non-technical backgrounds
• Relentless drive to set and perseverance to achieve ambitious goals
• Passion for building an open financial system that brings the world together

Nice to haves:

• Experience with crypto
• Experience both in startups and large enterprises

Pay Transparency Notice:Depending on your work location, the target annual base salary for this position can range as detailed below. Total compensation may also include equity and bonus eligibility and benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)).

Annual base salary range (excluding equity and bonus):

$253,895—$298,700 USD
