THE ROLE

The Access Rules team in DX Engineering is at the center of DX’s approach to security and access management. The team architects and maintains the systems responsible for managing how users, groups, and resources interact across all platforms, enabling secure operations at scale. Team is a passionate group of engineers building APIs and backend solutions that provide robust access controls impacting many systems within Pure Storage and the DX organization.The team helps define and evolve the backbone of Pure’s authorization infrastructure, collaborating closely with the Authorization team, product managers, and UI/UX designers. The team contributes hands-on to complex backend services, drives feature migrations, and supports the reliability of mission-critical access management.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Architect Scalable Ecosystems: Design, develop, and maintain high-availability processing services, ensuring every line of code meets rigorous security and compliance standards for mission-critical data.
• Drive Full Lifecycle Innovation: Own the end-to-end development cycle—from experimenting with new technologies to production deployment—ensuring our platform remains at the forefront of the industry.
• Optimize Engineering Excellence: Lead the charge on code quality by integrating unit testing, comprehensive code reviews, and automated CI/CD pipelines to guarantee seamless, continuous delivery.
• Collaborative Problem Solving: Partner with stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into elegant technical solutions, maintaining a focus on system inter-operability and long-term maintainability.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Backend Mastery: Deep proficiency in modern backend languages (such as Python, Java, or Golang) and a proven track record of designing and launching complex software components. Interest/Experience in Security.
• Cloud Native Expertise: Practical experience building and scaling applications within cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and a strong command of Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Technical Foundations: A rigorous understanding of data structures, algorithms, SQL, and cloud networking infrastructure to build efficient, high-performance systems.
• Collaborative Mindset: A strong design sensibility and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment where peer feedback and cross-functional communication are vital to success.
• Office Presence: We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Prague, Czech Republic office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
