Almond Recruitment is working on behalf of our client, a well-established European-licensed investment firm, to recruit a Settlements & Securities Operations Specialist for its Limassol office.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, traditional brokerage firm with a professional and friendly working environment. The successful candidate will play an important role in the day-to-day operations of the business, covering trade settlements, reconciliations, and corporate actions.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily internal and external reconciliations of client funds, financial instruments and positions with custodians, banks and brokers.
- Process client orders, including receipt, review, transmission, system entry and maintenance of the order register.
- Handle the daily settlement of trades and transactions related to ancillary services.
- Process corporate actions, including income payments, tender offers and voting activities.
- Complete the daily closing of the previous operational day within the Back Office system.
- Prepare and submit daily reports to clients and regulatory authorities, including EMIR and transaction reporting, as well as other internal and external reports relating to client assets.
- Set up new financial instruments in the system database.
- Maintain and update prices, rates and their respective sources for financial instruments, where required.
- Liaise closely with brokers, counterparties, and other internal departments to ensure smooth operational processes.
- Assist with the implementation and testing of new IT tasks and system enhancements, where required.
- Provide additional departmental support, including assisting with audits and participating in cross-departmental projects.
Requirements
- Degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Knowledge of financial instruments and the structure and operations of an investment firm.
- Knowledge of bonds and derivatives
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and high-quality work.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Professional integrity and a positive, proactive approach to work.
- Fluency in both English and Russian.
- CySEC Basic or Advanced certification will be considered an advantage.
