The Ops Platform and Fraud Investigations team develops internal platforms that replace repetitive manual processes with AI-driven systems. These tools support areas such as Fraud Operations, Account Operations, Financial Crimes Operations, and Retirement Services. The team works closely with product, data science, and operations partners to deliver reliable systems that improve decision-making and efficiency!

As a Software Developer, you will lead the design and development of platforms that enable operational teams to investigate and resolve issues more quickly and accurately. You will own complex technical problems end-to-end, working with large datasets and signals to build systems that support fraud detection and investigation workflows. You will collaborate closely with data scientists and machine learning engineers to translate manual processes into scalable automated systems. You will also guide technical direction for key initiatives, ensuring systems are reliable, maintainable, and capable of supporting new products and operational needs as they grow.

This role is based in our Toronto, ON office(s), with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

What you’ll do

● You will design and build scalable systems that process large datasets and generate insights to support fraud investigation and decision-making

● You will lead the implementation of systems that automate manual review processes in partnership with data scientists and machine learning engineers

● You will develop AI-based applications that improve the speed, accuracy, and consistency of operational workflows

● You will define technical approaches for complex projects, breaking them into clear milestones and delivering measurable outcomes

● You will improve system reliability and development efficiency by identifying gaps and implementing structured solutions

What you bring

● You have experience building and operating production systems that use large language models or similar AI technologies

● You design systems that manage model behavior and produce consistent, reliable outputs at scale

● You have experience working with large-scale data pipelines and extracting insights from complex datasets

● You translate business processes into technical solutions with clear scope, milestones, and measurable outcomes

● You contribute to technical direction and support other engineers through design reviews or guidance on implementation approaches

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed.

Base Pay Range:

Toronto, ON

$136,000—$160,000 CAD
