Сопроводительное письмо
I am writing to express my interest in the Software Engineer (Backend) position at Grow Therapy. With over three years of experience in backend development and a strong proficiency in Python, I am drawn to your mission of bridging the gap between therapists and patients through a robust, scalable marketplace. My background in designing APIs and maintaining production systems aligns perfectly with the needs of your Marketplace Experience or Client Activation teams.
In my previous roles, I have focused on building reliable services and optimizing data models to support high-growth platforms. I am particularly impressed by Grow Therapy’s commitment to technical excellence and its use of AI-assisted development tools like Cursor and Copilot, which I already integrate into my daily workflow. I am eager to bring my ownership-driven mindset to your team and contribute to the goal of surpassing 10 million sessions by 2026.

Описание вакансии
About Us:
Grow Therapy is on a mission to serve as the trusted partner for therapists growing their practice, and patients accessing high-quality care. Powered by technology, we are a three-sided marketplace that empowers providers, augments insurance payors, and serves patients. Following the mass increase in depression and anxiety, the need for accessibility is more important than ever. To make our vision for mental healthcare a reality, we’re building a team of entrepreneurs and mission-driven go-getters. Since launching in February 2021, we’ve empowered more than ten thousand therapists and hundreds of thousands of clients across the country and insurance landscape. We’ve raised more than $178mm of funding from Sequoia Capital, Transformation Capital, TCV, SignalFire, and others.
The Opportunity
We're hiring a Software Engineer to help build and evolve the backend systems that power Grow Therapy's platform. In this role, you'll design, implement, and ship server-side features and services that directly impact how clients and providers connect, communicate, and access care.
You'll join a collaborative, product-focused engineering organization where technical work is closely tied to reliability, scalability, and real-world outcomes. This role is ideal for an engineer who takes pride in writing clean, well-tested code, thinks carefully about system design and data integrity, and is energized by the opportunity to grow alongside a fast-moving team.
Why This Role Matters
Access to mental healthcare in America is still deeply fragmented and Grow Therapy is building the platform to fix that. We connect clients, providers, and health plans in a single integrated system, and the software our engineers ship directly shapes whether people can find and afford the care they need.
We're growing fast - nearly 22,000 clinicians, over 1.4 million clients, and on track to surpass 10 million sessions in 2026 and we see ourselves as a generational company with a long way still to go. Engineers who join now have a real opportunity to build systems that matter at meaningful scale.
What You'll Be Doing
- Design, implement, and ship backend services and APIs that power core platform functionality for clients and providers
- Own the full lifecycle of your work — from scoping and implementation through testing, deployment, and iteration
- Contribute to and improve core platform systems, including those related to data pipelines, service reliability, and business logic
- Implement and support A/B tests and experiments, from hypothesis through measurement and rollout
- Investigate, triage, and resolve production incidents and complex cross-system bugs
- Write clean, well-tested, maintainable production code and take an active role in code reviews
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Data to deliver well-scoped, measurable solutions
- Participate in technical discussions and contribute to architectural decisions within your team
You'll Be a Good Fit If You Have
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong backend engineering experience, including service design, data modeling, and API development
- Experience building and maintaining production systems at scale where reliability, data quality, and correctness matter
- Comfortable working in Python (preferred) with a solid understanding of backend fundamentals
- Strong execution skills and the ability to deliver scoped work independently
- Curiosity and a willingness to learn complex systems and new problem domains
- A product-minded approach — you understand how technical decisions impact user experience and business outcomes
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a track record of working closely with cross-functional partners including Product, Design, and Data Science
- Experience using AI-assisted dev tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot)
- A bias toward ownership, speed, learning, and continuous improvement
Engineering Team Overviews
Marketplace ExperienceThe Marketplace Experience team shapes how clients discover and evaluate providers on Grow, transforming a simple directory into a guided, personalized entry point to care. As a Software Engineer on this team, you’ll work across search, ranking, profiles, and booking flows to build a fast, resilient, and intelligent marketplace that helps every client find the right fit provider and convert that intent into a booked appointment.
Client ActivationThe Client Activation team owns the fragile moments between booking and a client’s first few sessions, making starting care feel clear, reliable, and supportive. As a Software Engineer on this team, you’ll build and harden systems for scheduling, authentication, notifications, and early-journey flows that directly determine whether clients show up, come back for visit two, and build lasting relationships with their providers.
Claims EngineThe Claims Engine team powers Grow’s end-to-end insurance claim lifecycle, from claim creation through submission, remits, and denials. As a Software Engineer on this team, you’ll build robust, observable services that encode complex payor rules, reduce denials and rework, and ensure providers get paid accurately and on time.
