Qube Research & Technologies (QRT) is a global quantitative and systematic investment manager, operating in all liquid asset classes across the world. We are a technology and data driven group implementing a scientific approach to investing. Combining data, research, technology and trading expertise has shaped QRT’s collaborative mindset which enables us to solve the most complex challenges. QRT’s culture of innovation continuously drives our ambition to deliver high quality returns for our investors.
We operate one of the most demanding data infrastructures in finance: a large-scale distributed system spanning multiple database backends, streaming platforms, thousands of tables, and near-100% availability requirements. We are currently building a self-service platform that enables teams across the firm to safely orchestrate complex data operations, such as migrations, reprocessing, and schema evolution, while embedding strong guardrails by design.
Your future role within QRT:
- Design and build the platform end-to-end, including backend services, APIs, and user interfaces
- Develop automations, approval workflows, and comprehensive audit trails in a highly autonomous engineering environment
- Work closely with internal users to understand their needs and deliver high-impact, practical solutions
Your present skillset:
- You learn fast and enjoy diving deep into complex systems
- You have strong attention to detail, in code, UX, and system design
- You design solutions that are simple, scalable, and easy to evolve
- You take ownership and drive initiatives across teams rather than waiting for direction
- Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Go, Rust, C++, Java, etc.), with a willingness to learn Rust if you haven’t used it yet
- Experience with infrastructure tooling (Kubernetes, Terraform) is a plus
