Job Description:

As a foundational engineer at Sapiom, you will build the critical payment and identity rails that allow AI agents to operate autonomously in the real economy. You will own entire systems end-to-end, from KYA (Know Your Agent) protocols to multi-rail payment execution, defining how machines trade and transact at scale.

What you will do:

• Design and implement robust financial infrastructure for AI agent wallets, spending controls, and automated multi-rail payment systems.
• Collaborate directly with the founders to architect the core platform, making high-stakes decisions that shape the company’s technical trajectory.
• Develop automated systems that enable AI agents to independently navigate the API economy, including compute provisioning and service procurement.

The ideal candidate:

• Deep expertise in financial infrastructure, payments, or developer platforms from high-signal companies like Stripe, Modern Treasury, Vercel, or Coinbase.
• A ""frontier-first"" mindset with the conviction that AGI is imminent and a relentless drive to automate every possible layer of the business.
• Exceptional engineering pedigree, whether as a staff-level architect with deep ledger DNA or a high-agency junior with a history of raw hackathon hustle.
