As Sr. Data Scientist I, you’ll have the ability to blend hands-on data science with mission-focused delivery, translating user needs and product requirements into scalable AI/ML solutions that drive operational impact. The individual develops and refines models, builds robust data pipelines, and supports testing and deployment while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. They also act as a technical mentor and trusted partner to stakeholders, ensuring solutions are practical, aligned to mission objectives, and continuously improved.

What you’ll do:

• You will work daily with cross-functional teammates to translate user requirements, wireframes, and feature specifications into data science solutions that support mission needs.
• You will develop, test, and refine analytic models and workflows, contribute to automated and end-to-end testing, and help estimate the level of effort for new enhancements or requirements.
• You will also serve as a technical mentor to other team members and engage with mission partners as needed to ensure solutions are practical, effective, and aligned to operational objectives.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• An active Secret security clearance
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
• 4+ years of experience in developing and deploying AI/ML models in production
• Proficiency with applying quantitative methods to structured & unstructured data for data analysis, pattern recognition, insights generation, metrics development, and scaling analytical tools.
• Strong programming skills in large scale data manipulation & processing including SQL, Advanced Python, and experience with libraries like scikit-learn, Pandas, and NumPy
• Knowledge of Deep Learning frameworks (NLP, Computer Vision), and experience with GenAI/LLMs, and familiarity with frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Willing/Able to travel to customer site, as needed

SALARY RANGE: $138,000 - $184,000

The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:

• The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
• The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
• Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
• This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:

• Performance-based bonuses
• Company-paid training and/or certifications
• Referral bonuses
