We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our Identity & Access Management team. This is a hybrid role based in Bangalore, reporting to the Sr. Director, Engineering. You will help manage digital risk by applying security through identity integration and controls. In this role, you will build workflows and application integrations as coordinated with the larger IAM team, Product Management, and Business teams.

• Lead the development of identity management products for Zscaler
• Design and implement core product functionality and key technical initiatives

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

• 3+ years of software development experience in large-scale commercial networking applications with a degree in Engineering or Computer Science
• Deep proficiency in enterprise Java, object-oriented programming (OOP/OOA), systems architecture, and RESTful APIs
• Hands-on experience with SQL and Postgres
• Strong understanding of networking protocols, including HTTP, SSL/TLS, and TCP/IP
• Technical expertise in frameworks such as Hibernate and Spring, as well as CI/CD tools and processes

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Knowledge of Identity and Access Management protocols, such as OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, Federation, or SSO
• Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container infrastructure
