Role

We are looking for a Senior Staff Software Development Engineer to join our Zero Trust Exchange team. This is a Hybrid role based in Bangalore, reporting to the Director of Software Engineering. Our Engineering team built the world's largest cloud security platform from the ground up, and we continue to innovate with over 100 patents and a global footprint serving 15 million users. You will bring your vision and passion to a team of architects and security experts to help organizations worldwide harness speed and agility with a cloud-first strategy.

What you’ll do (Role Expectations)

• Contribute to the design and implementation of major development projects
• Solve stimulating problems born out of massive scale and stringent quality, performance, and security requirements
• Work closely with product managers and cross-functional teams to implement customer-impacting features

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

• In-depth knowledge of the Rust language
• Excellent programming skills with experience writing high-quality, low-complexity code and thorough documentation
• Strong experience writing easily-testable and thoroughly-tested code using dependency injection and proper abstractions
• Professional exposure to lower-level languages such as C or C++
• Expertise in networking protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, H/3, and proxying with experience debugging network-related issues

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• An understanding of how VPN technologies work and the trade-offs between privacy, security, and anonymity
• Experience with kernel-mode programming
