Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team. This is a hybrid role based in Bangalore, reporting to the Sr. Director, Software Engineering within the Data Protection department. You will serve as a key development engineer, owning and evolving components of a large-scale distributed system. Your work is central to our mission of safeguarding data at scale, requiring a high-accountability mindset to maintain a healthy cloud environment and ensure customer success.

What you’ll do (Role Expectations)

• Develop and own components of a large-scale distributed system with a focus on high scalability and performance
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues with precision and high-impact resolution skills
• Partner with Operations and Support teams to maintain cloud health and drive customer satisfaction
• Design and implement robust backend services that align with architectural best practices
• Contribute to the continuous evolution of our data protection platform through active participation in the full development lifecycle

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

• 8+ years of software development experience with Java expertise in middle-tier and backend web applications, supported by a Bachelor’s degree
• Extensive experience with traditional databases, RESTful APIs, and a preference for microservices architecture
• Proficiency in message queuing and caching using Kafka and Redis
• Experience with Hibernate or other ORM frameworks coupled with Bash or Python scripting skills
• Working knowledge of Docker containerization and hands-on experience with Gemini code assist or similar generative AI development tools

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Deep expertise in Cloud, TCP/IP, and Networking within the cybersecurity industry
• Proficiency in endpoint development and full-stack skills involving Node/React
• Direct experience with SAML/OAuth SSO authentication protocols
