We’re seeking a Staff Software Engineer to work within our team focused on building Marketing & CRM systems that empower restaurants to drive engagement, retention and growth. You’ll join a high-impact, high-ownership flex engineering team focused on rapid experimentation across the Guest Engagement ecosystem. You’ll help build, test and iterate on new products and experiences, using customer outcomes to guide decision-making and ensure we deliver meaningful value with speed and quality.

• Collaborate closely with product & design to rapidly experiment, validate hypotheses and iterate toward net-new products and experiences that drive meaningful engagement.
• Design, build and deploy highly resilient and scalable systems that are critical to our restaurants’ success.
• Implement and advocate for high observability standards to measure product reliability, uncover customer value unlocks and inform data-driven iteration.
• Collaborate with team members and engineers across the company to deliver cohesive, high-quality solutions.
• Champion engineering best practices, raising the bar for code quality, architecture and operational excellence for both your team and the broader organization.
• Leverage cutting-edge AI tools to accelerate development workflows and help pioneer new approaches to building software.

Do you have the right*ingredients\**? (Requirements)

• Driven by impact and solving for the customer
• Strong experience with Kotlin, Java or another object-oriented language
• Proven track record of delivering reliable services within a distributed architecture to production.
• Ability to break down complex problems and communicate solutions clearly throughout cross-functional teams.
• Values personal and team growth, balancing task completion with platform stability.

• React SPAs leveraging Tailwind, GraphQL and Storybook.
• Android app built in Java & Kotlin running in the restaurant.
• PostgreSQL and Dynamodb for persistence.
• Pulsar, Camel and RabbitMQ for message-based integrations.
