About OpenFX

OpenFX is on a mission to become the global backbone for cross-border FX transactions. We are building the infrastructure to power the next generation of cross-border payment systems for institutions. The team's execution has been exceptional, and we're scaling remarkably. The Role

We're hiring a Talent Lead to own and scale talent acquisition at OpenFX. Today, we rely heavily on external recruiting agencies and have one TA coordinator. We need someone who can build a high-performing internal recruiting function that reduces agency dependency, improves candidate quality, and keeps pace with an ambitious hiring plan across Bangalore, Miami, London, Dubai, and Amsterdam.

You would report to the COO and work closely with the Head of People Operations & Talent (once hired) as well as every hiring manager in the company. You will own the full recruiting lifecycle: sourcing strategy, pipeline management, interview process design, offer management, and recruiting analytics. You will also be responsible for employer branding and candidate experience.

This role requires someone with 10+ years of talent acquisition experience who has built recruiting infrastructure at a scaling company. You should have experience hiring across multiple geographies, ideally including India and at least one Western market. If your experience is primarily agency-side or limited to a single market, this will be a stretch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the full-cycle recruiting process across all geographies and functions, from intake to offer close.
  • Design and implement structured interview frameworks, scorecards, and hiring rubrics that ensure consistency and quality across hiring managers.
  • Build internal sourcing capability to reduce reliance on external agencies. Develop direct sourcing channels, referral programs, and talent pipelines for critical roles.
  • Manage external agency relationships where they remain strategically valuable — renegotiate terms, set SLAs, and hold agencies accountable to quality and speed.
  • Develop recruiting analytics and reporting: time-to-fill, pipeline conversion rates, source effectiveness, and cost-per-hire. Use data to drive process improvements.
  • Own employer branding and candidate experience. Ensure OpenFX is well-positioned in the market to attract top talent in fintech, payments, and engineering.
  • Partner with hiring managers to build workforce plans and translate business priorities into hiring roadmaps.
  • Build and eventually lead a recruiting team as the company scales.

What We Are Looking For

Must-haves:

  • 10+ years of talent acquisition experience, with significant time spent at high-growth technology or fintech companies.
  • Proven track record of building recruiting infrastructure from early stage — you've designed the processes, built the pipelines, and scaled hiring from ~50 to 200+ headcount.
  • Experience hiring across multiple geographies, ideally including India, US, and at least one European or Middle Eastern market.
  • Strong data orientation. You manage recruiting with metrics, not gut feel. You've built dashboards and used data to improve pipeline efficiency.
  • Excellent stakeholder management. You can partner with senior hiring managers, push back when needed, and earn trust through consistent execution.
  • Strong written communication skills. We are async-heavy and globally distributed.

What helps you stand out:

  • Experience hiring for regulated industries (fintech, payments, banking, crypto).
  • Experience building employer brand and talent marketing programs.
  • Familiarity with Greenhouse as an ATS.
  • Experience managing and optimizing agency relationships at scale.
  • Prior experience in a company that operated across India and Western markets simultaneously.
