**For this role, we have partnered with an Employer of Record (EoR) vendor, which allows us to collaborate with contingent professionals across different regions. Please note that for this position, you will be employed directly by our EoR who will be responsible for all employer obligations, including payroll, benefits, and local HR support, and you will be contracted out to Komodo Health. Our recruitment team will elaborate on this further in our introduction conversations.**

| Looking back at your first 12 months you will have: Zero-Defect Processing: Maintain a near-perfect accuracy rate in invoice entry, specifically ensuring that high-value vendor payments are recorded and executed without data-entry errors (avoiding "transposition" mistakes). Expense Efficiency: Eradicate processing backlogs by maintaining a steady-state turnaround for employee reimbursements, even during high-volume periods like the Annual Remote Komodo Offsite (RKO). Audit Excellence: Provide flawless support for financial audits by maintaining organized, easily retrievable digital documentation for all disbursements. Vendor Trust: Resolve all vendor payment inquiries within 24 hours, taking full ownership of the communication and resolution process. Key Responsibilities High-Volume AP Management: Process all incoming vendor bills with extreme attention to detail and correct GL/departmental coding. Employee Expense Auditing: Review and reimburse global expense reports, ensuring compliance with Komodo’s policies. Accuracy Control: Perform double-checks on payment amounts and banking details to prevent significant financial discrepancies. Relationship Management: Act as the face of Finance for vendors, resolving disputes or missed payments with professional "intellectual honesty". System Maintenance: Keep the ERP vendor master file organized and up-to-date. Audit Support: Pull samples and provide documentation for the annual financial audit process. |

| What you bring to Komodo Health (required): 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance B/A in accounting or finance is preferred Hyper-Organization: The ability to manage high transaction volumes (invoices and expenses) without losing track of priority items. Operational Speed: A "growth mindset" that prioritizes moving through tasks quickly while maintaining total accuracy. Data Integrity: Exceptional attention to detail, specifically regarding numeric entry and GL coding. English Proficiency: Strong written and verbal English skills to navigate global vendor calls and internal Slack communications. Accounting Logic: Understanding how to map expenses to the correct departments and accounts (e.g., coding a recruiting bill to the correct consultant line). Multitasking & Prioritization: Proven ability to manage recurring monthly deadlines alongside long-term accounting projects. Bilingual Communication: Professional-level English and Spanish to effectively collaborate with a global, distributed team. Nice to Have Skills: International Accounting Exposure: Experience working with international entities or managing cross-border vendor payments (e.g., India or LATAM regions). Audit Preparation: Previous experience pulling samples or preparing schedules for external financial audits. Advanced Automation: Familiarity with leveraging GenAI or RPA tools to categorize expenses or draft vendor correspondence. Specialized Tooling: Experience with automated procurement or expense platforms such as Coupa, Ramp, or Concur. At Komodo, we value "Delivering the Wow" through innovation. As an Accounting Analyst, you can leverage GenAI tools to: Automate Variance Analysis: Use AI to quickly summarize the "why" behind budget-to-actual discrepancies. Streamline Technical Research: Use LLMs to quickly summarize complex accounting standards or international tax requirements. Enhance Communication: Use AI to draft clear, empathetic internal memos regarding expense policy updates or vendor payment status. #LI-REMOTE |

Komodo Health has a hybrid work model with hubs in San Francisco, New York City, and Chicago. Roles vary — some can be performed from anywhere in the country, others are scoped to a specific region, and some are based near one of our hubs. For hub-based Dragons, we're building intentional in-office rhythms alongside the flexibility that's core to how we work. Whatever your setup, expectations will always be clear before you join.
