The Opportunity
Vessel is growing rapidly, with multiple projects in development, and we’re looking for an experienced Construction Controller to lead the construction side of our accounting function. In this role, you will own financial oversight of construction projects, including job costing, budget tracking, contract management, and reporting. You will work closely with project managers and leadership to ensure financial visibility, accuracy, and control across all active projects.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in construction accounting, job costing, or project-based accounting
- Strong understanding of job costing, WIP reporting, and project financial management
- Experience working closely with project managers and operations teams
- Familiarity with construction contracts, pay applications, and change order processes
- Working knowledge of GAAP and construction accounting principles
- Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems
- Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong ownership mentality and ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment
