WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS:

This role is critical to ensuring the successful development and delivery of ICEYE’s radar payload systems by providing strong leadership, coordination, and alignment across a highly skilled multidisciplinary team. As Team Lead / Engineering Manager, you will enable technical experts to perform at their best by guiding project execution, maintaining clear communication, and bridging the gap between complex engineering work and broader organizational goals. Your combination of hands-on electronics or RF engineering experience and leadership capability ensures that both people and projects move forward efficiently, supporting the continued advancement of ICEYE’s satellite payload technology.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

\* Coordinate and lead a cross-domain, multi-disciplinary team of 5+ members through the full lifecycle of the radar payload and downlink data systems.

\* Manage and mentor a diverse group of engineers, ranging from junior levels to highly experienced staff-level technical experts, including a focus on developing our Electronic/RF engineering talent.

\* Take ownership of project timelines, schedules, and resource allocation for complex, end-to-end hardware development cycles.

\* Present daily or weekly progress updates, effectively summarizing and translating complex engineering constraints, risks, and milestones to non-technical stakeholders.

\* Collaborate closely with Staff Engineers and Technical Leads, focusing your efforts on facilitating their success, aligning cross-functional work, and removing roadblocks so they can focus on technical execution.

REQUIREMENTS

Must haves

\* 5+ years of proven industry experience working hands-on as a designer (electronics, or RF), strongly emphasizing applied industrial product development. You must have this foundational design experience to properly understand, estimate, and coordinate the team's workload.

\* Experience designing complex PCB and RF subsystems.

\* 5+ years of experience managing and coordinating engineering teams of more than 5 people.
